  2. Every NCAA-sanctioned sport has its particular window separated by season. The complete list ahead of the 2024-25 season can be found here

  3. Villanova basketball is in a complete rebuild in both the men's program and women's side. In the case of the women, more than 80% of its scoring from this past season is gone after three starters hit the transfer portal, the biggest being star guard Lucy Olsen.

  4. College football has two transfer portal periods. A 30-day window that begins in December, followed by a 15-day window in the spring that begins in April.

Villanova adds Vanderbilt transfer Ryanne Allen, a former Archbishop Wood star

Vanderbilt transfer forward Ryanne Allen has announced her commitment to Villanova on Instagram.

Allen, a Warminster, Pa. native, averaged 4.3 points and 1.7 rebounds over two seasons at Vanderbilt. She appeared in 60 games, making just seven starts, all of them coming as a freshman. A star for Archbishop Wood, Allen was named the 2022 Miss PA Basketball award winner, and won a state championship as a junior.

Villanova adds playmaking and shooting with VCU's Shulga

VCU transfer Max Shulga committed to Villanova Friday, he announced on Instagram

Villanova has prioritized playmaking and shooting in the portal, and Shulga, at 6-foot-4, brings both. The native of Kyiv, Ukraine scored 14 points and added 4.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists while shooting 41.5% on 5.6 three-point attempts per game in 2023-24, his first year with VCU.

Temple gets commitment from Fordham forward

Fordham forward Elijah Gray committed to Temple on Friday, the school announced.

Gray, a 6-foot-8 sophomore, scored 8.4 points and grabbed 3.7 rebounds in 18.1 minutes per game last season.

Report: Villanova's TJ Bamba is off to Oregon

Villanova transfer TJ Bamba committed to play his final season of eligibility at Oregon, The Athletic's Shams Charania reported Thursday morning.

Oregon will be Bamba's third school. He transferred to Villanova last offseason from Washington State. After averaging 15.8 points during his sophomore season with the Cougars, Bamba posted 10.1 points per game at Villanova.

Christina Dalce commits to Maryland

Villanova center Christina Dalce announced on social media Tuesday night that she was heading to the University of Maryland.

Dalce, who scored 8.3 points and grabbed 9.4 rebounds per game during her junior season at Villanova, was the third Villanova starter to hit the transfer portal when she entered on April 16.

Report: Imhotep's Semaj Bridgeman is leaving Michigan

Former Imhotep Charter star Semaj Bridgeman is entering the transfer portal and leaving Michigan, according to a report from On3.

Bridgeman, a four-star prospect out of high school, redshirted in 2023 and did not play for the national champion Wolverines.

Rokas Jocius is going to Disney World ... sort of

La Salle transfer Rokas Jocius committed to Central Florida Monday, he announced on Instagram.

Jocius, a 6-foot-10 sophomore from Lithuania, scored 8.5 points and grabbed 5.4 rebounds in 23.2 minutes per game for La Salle in 2023-24.

La Salle gets commitment from LIU guard

A day after outgoing point guard Jhamir Brickus committed to Villanova, Long Island University point guard Eric Acker committed to La Salle, he announced Monday afternoon on X.

Acker, a 6-foot-2 New Yorker who has three years of eligibility remaining, scored 12.7 points to go with 3.8 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game.

Harvard transfer Justice Ajogbor is heading to St. Joe's

St. Joseph's picked up its second transfer-portal commitment Monday morning, when Harvard big man Justice Ajogbor announced on Instagram that he was heading to Hawk Hill.

Ajogbor posted 8.4 points and 6.5 rebounds in 23.2 minutes per game with Harvard. But the big eye-popper is the 2.9 blocks per game, which would have been good for third in the country if not for some missed time during December and January.

Drexel nabs Daytona State forward Victor Panov

Victor Panov, the 6-foot-7 forward from St. Petersburg, Russia will make Drexel his third stop of his college career. In addition to spending this past season as a sophomore at Daytona State, Panov previously attended Cal State Fullerton and had committed to LeMoyne.

Villanova sharpshooter Brendan Hausen headed to Kansas State

Villanova transfer Brendan Hausen is heading to Kansas State, he announced Friday morning on Instagram.

Hausen, who is from Amarillo, Tex., left Villanova after two seasons with the program. The sharpshooting guard shot 38.1% from three-point range on an average of 5.2 attempts per game in 2023-24 after shooting 42.9% on two attempts per game in his freshman season.

Temple picks up Penn State transfer Jameel Brown

Temple's backcourt got another big boost Friday, when Penn State transfer Jameel Brown committed to Adam Fisher. Brown's commitment finished a busy week for the Owls, who got a commitment from New Mexico transfer Jamal Mashburn Jr., and another from St. Joe's transfer Lynn Greer.

Brown, a 6-foot-4 guard and Westtown grad who started at Haverford, averaged 4 points in a little more than 10 minutes during his sophomore year at Penn State.

Temple women's hoops lands Amaya Oliver from USC, Loyola Marymount

On the heels of the men’s program announcing a pair of major signings, women’s coach Diane Richardson made her first splash in the transfer portal by signing former Southern Cal and Loyola Marymount forward Amaya Oliver.

Oliver, a 6-foot-2 forward from Richmond, California, is a major fill after the loss of Demi Washington and fellow forwards Rayne Tucker and Ines Piper to the transfer portal this offseason. Additionally, there’s the loss of second-leading scorer Aleah Nelson due to graduation — all were key contributors to the Owls’ run to the semifinals of the American Athletic Conference tournament this past season.

Temple forward Hysier Miller heads to Virginia Tech

Former Temple guard Hysier Miller is transferring to Virginia Tech, he announced on his social media Wednesday evening.

Miller, who played his high school ball at Neumann Goretti, spent the last three seasons with the Owls. He started just eight games as a freshman but started in 68 across over the last two seasons, becoming one of the most important pieces of the Temple lineup.

Temple lands Jamal Mashburn Jr. via the portal

Temple men’s basketball coach Adam Fisher got a little creative late Monday morning. NCAA rules forbid coaches from talking publicly about unsigned athletes, but GIFs? They’re free game.

Fisher posted a GIF on X of Ken Griffey Jr. hitting a baseball. The key was in the suffix.

Former Drexel star Amari Williams joins Kentucky

After simultaneously entering the transfer portal and NBA draft on March 12, Amari Williams, the three-time CAA Defensive Player of the Year from Drexel will become a Wildcat for new coach Mark Pope ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Williams is not the first player with local ties to play at Kentucky. Camden High’s DJ Wagner and Aaron Bradshaw, and Imhotep Charter’s Justin Edwards all played for Big Blue Nation last season. Wagner and Bradshaw both have already entered the portal, with Bradshaw committing to Ohio State, while Edwards declared for the draft on April 4. Earlier in April, Camden High’s Billy Richmond decommitted from Kentucky.

DJ Wagner left Camden for Kentucky with the hope — maybe even the expectation — that he would use his lone season of college basketball as a training ground for the NBA draft.

It looks like Wagner will indeed be one-and-done in Lexington, but not in the way most had planned for him.

St. Joseph’s center Christ Essandoko announces transfer to Providence

Christ Essandoko is taking his talents from St. Joseph’s to the Big East.

The 7-foot redshirt freshman center is transferring to Providence, he announced on social media Wednesday. Essandoko initially committed to play for the Friars out of high school before backing out in 2022 and landing on Hawk Hill.

Villanova standout Lucy Olsen heads to Iowa

Villanova women’s basketball star guard Lucy Olsen announced Wednesday night that she’s transferring to Iowa.

Olsen will follow in the footsteps of departed Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark, and get her turn to play for a program that reached the national championship game in each of the last two seasons.

Villanova forward Christina Dalce enters the portal

Villanova starting center Christina Dalce entered the transfer portal Tuesday morning, one day after starting point guard Zanai Jones entered her name in the portal.

Dalce, who posted 8.3 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game, became the third Villanova starter to enter the portal, as it appears coach Denise Dillon has some rebuilding to do in the transfer market following the Wildcats’ run to the inaugural WBIT championship game.
