Sixers vs. Heat takeaways: Adem Bona’s shotblocking, Lonnie Walker’s best game

MIAMI – Adem Bona is a shot-blocking machine.
Lonnie Walker IV had another 20-point outing in South Florida against the Heat. And Miami completed its season-long domination of the 76ers.
Those three things stood out in the Sixers’ 117-105 loss to Miami on Monday night at the Kaseya Center.

Bona’s shotblocking

Bona completed his third career double-double and second against the Heat by finishing with 16 points and 11 rebounds. This comes after the rookie center had 16 points and 10 rebounds against Miami on March 29 at the Wells Fargo Center.
But he also blocked three shots on Monday, his 10th game with at least three. Bona has also blocked at least one shot in each of his last 13 games. That’s the longest streak by a Sixers rookie since Joel Embiid had a block in 18 straight games from Dec. 5, 2016 to Jan. 27, 2017.

Walker at home in Miami

Walker had his best game as a Sixer, finishing with season highs of 29 points and six three-pointers. This marked the third time the former University of Miami standout scored at least 20 points against the Heat in Miami.
Swept by Miami

Miami won all four of this season’s game against the Sixers by an average of 14.8 points. This was their first season series sweep since the 2015-16 season (three games) and first four-game sweep since the 2012-13 season.
