Man shot and killed in Feltonville

Philadelphia police are investigating the shooting death of a man who was found in the street in the city’s Feltonville section Monday morning.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was found dead on Whitaker Avenue, near Loudon Street, at about 7 a.m. Monday. Police described the victim, who was shot in the head, as a Hispanic male in his late 20s to early 30s. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have no made arrests and did not recover a weapon at the scene. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Philadelphia Police Department’s tip line at 215-686-8477.
