Five things to know today about the Flyers (30-26-8) as they continue their critical road trip Tuesday night in Buffalo (27-27-12):

  1. If the Flyers are going to sneak into the playoffs, they need to get their road mojo working. They have just three wins in their last 17 road games, going 3-11-3 in that span. Overall, they are 11-16-4 on the road. Buffalo is 16-11-6 at home.

  2. The Sabres (66 points) have lost six of their last seven, and the Flyers (68 points) have picked up points in their last three games (2-0-1).

  3. Robin Lehner, who is 18-18-8 with a 2.59 GAA and .922 save percentage, is likely to start for the Sabres. In his career against the Flyers, he is 1-2 with a 3.35 GAA and .894 save percentage. Steve Mason (18-17-7, 2.75, .906) will get his fourth straight start for the Flyers.

  4. The Flyers have scored a combined total of 11 goals in their last 11 losses.

  5. Buffalo has the better power play (22.9 percent success rate compared to the Flyers' 20.8), while the Flyers have the stronger penalty kill (81.4 percent compared to the Sabres' 76.3).
