Philly’s filthiest grandma is an Internet sensation

There was a time when Philadelphia was a rough-and-tumble town — one where you could get irresponsibly drunk, dance on bars with abandon, and, apparently, smash bottles over people’s heads with little to no consequence.

There was a time when Philadelphia was a rough-and-tumble town — one where you could get irresponsibly drunk, dance on bars with abandon, and, apparently, smash bottles over people's heads with little to no consequence. And though those days appear to be long gone, luckily one 87-year-old South Philly grandmother is here to help us remember in the form of "S--- Gram Says."

Coming to us from granddaughter Alyssa Pagliaccetti, the "S--- Gram Says" YouTube channel delivers to us Gram's wisdom on everything from drinking and men to her own glory days as a girl in the South Philly of old. As you may note, Gram is mighty and endearingly foul-mouthed, relating tales of her bawdy youth with a profane style usually reserved for shipyard workers or SEPTA repairmen.

"Gram has always had a potty mouth," Pagliaccetti said in a recent interview with the Daily Mail. "As well as a spunky attitude to accompany it."

It's reportedly only gotten more extreme with her age, and the addition of 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren hasn't slowed that progress. But, really, with quips like Gram's, who can complain?

Some highlights:

  1. "I like anything that's hot, baby."

  2. "I taught mostly every guy in South Philly how to jitterbug."

  3. "Grinding. Yeah, I can grind."

  4. "Put your dukes up. I'll fight you right now."

  5. "Was I? Yeah…What did I get arrested for?"

And that's just from one video. Others, including "How to Love Your Body" and "Sex, Love, and How to Get a Man" are equally as enthralling. Though, if you want to see an 87-year-old knocking back shots of whiskey and cursing up a storm, you'll want to stick with "Drinking and Going Out."

After all, there's nothing like a little grandmotherly advice — especially when that advice is lubricated by several shots of Fireball. You might even learn how to jitterbug.
