Dan Gross: Seacrest's Voice is coming to Children's Hospital

Seacrest handpicked Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as the second site for his charitable foundation's closed-circuit broadcast multimedia center, The Voice, the hospital said yesterday.

The Voice, due to open this summer and be housed inside the hospital's Colket Atrium, will let patients engage in activities related to radio, TV and new media, such as broadcasting like a DJ, playing songs and conducting interviews.

What the hospital hasn't announced, but what we have on good authority, is that Seacrest will visit several times a year to broadcast his nationally syndicated radio show, heard here on Q102, from The Voice at CHOP.

Philadelphia magazine's Victor Fiorillo recently broke the story of Seacrest's CHOP intentions and his visit to the hospital last fall, on Phillymag.com.

The Ryan Seacrest Foundation's first Voice location is at Children's Healthcare in Seacrest's hometown, Atlanta.

Happy Anniversary Chaka/Renee

Seems like just yesterday that every so-called political insider in town was calling to let us know that U.S. Rep. Chaka Fattah and NBC10 anchor Renee Chenault-Fattah were divorcing.

That was during the 2007 mayor's race when several nasty and untrue rumors swirled, and we reported that this rumor fell into that category.

Today, the couple, whose wedding was called "The Wedding of the Century," on the cover of the Daily News, celebrate their 10th anniversary and the last laugh.

Fattah told us he was planning a night out on the town. When asked if he meant Philadelphia or Washington, he clammed up and decided it best not to ruin any surprise. Good move, congressman.

Maybe Kendrick will buy it?

We hope whoever stole Kyle Kendrick's World Series ring doesn't get nearly as much for it as late Phillies legend Robin Roberts' ring is expected to fetch. Hunt Auctions, which is selling a litany of the Hall of Fame pitcher's memorabilia, estimates the 2008 World Series Ring the Phillies presented Roberts with will sell for $20,000-$40,000, at an auction at Citizens Bank Park. The auction benefits the family of Roberts, who died last May. A preview runs at the park Saturday through Monday, and the live auction is at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Kendrick's ring was stolen recently during an open house at his home in suburban Seattle. Phillies spokeswoman Bonnie Clark said that if the ring, personalized with his name and number, isn't recovered, the team will work to get him a replacement.

RJD2 talks music, technology

Musician and producer RJD2, whose "A Beautiful Mine" is used as the theme to "Mad Men," and Tayyib Smith, of Little Giant Creative and publisher of two.one.five magazine, will host a panel discussion on the future of music and technology, as part of Philly Tech Week, on April 27 at the University of the Arts' Arts Bank (601 S. Charitably minded

Eagles lineman Winston Justice joins chef Hiroyuki "Zama" Tanaka at Zama (128 S. 19th) at 2 p.m. tomorrow to present a $14,500 check to the Red Cross from a recent fundraiser at the Rittenhouse Square sushi bar. Elixr Coffee (944 N. 2nd) will also present the Red Cross a check for $2,000 from its own fundraiser last week at Zama. The money is for relief efforts in Japan.
