"Nick Foles with it, get it? I be the backup, second in line. See, when I get in, ain't getting no more time."

In a world where the Eagles are finally Super Bowl champions, even Snoop Dogg is a fan.

Snoop name checks Nick Foles in his latest single, "Doggytails," off his newly released eight-song EP, 220. The track, featuring rapper Kokane, has Snoop dropping a Foles reference a few verses in.

"Nick Foles with it, get it? I be the backup, second in line. See, when I get in, ain't getting no more time," Snoop raps. "I'm free as a bird."

That positive outlook on the Birds is a little different from Snoop's take back in Dec. 2015, when he told then-coach Chip Kelly to kill himself following an Eagles loss that hurt his fantasy football team. In that case, the Birds lost to the Arizona Cardinals in an embarrassing 40-17 game.

"These sorry-ass f- Eagles can't even get me one or two points so I can win my fantasy league and go to the Super Bowl," Snoop said in a since-deleted Instagram video that has been archived on YouTube. "I feel for you Philadelphia fans."

To be fair,  Philly wasn't all that thrilled with the Eagles or Kelly at the time. The Eagles released Kelly just over a week after the loss that set Snoop off, and Doug Pederson joined as head coach in January 2016.

Foles, meanwhile, played for the Eagles from 2012 to 2015, when the team traded him away to the now-Los Angeles Rams for Sam Bradford. He rejoined the Eagles in March 2017 as a backup to quarterback Carson Wentz, but ended up leading the team to their Super Bowl win following Wentz's season-ending injury in week 14 against the Rams.
