Two Philly-linked plays tie for first at Obie Awards
At Monday night's Obie Awards in New York, two Philly-linked plays - J.T. Rogers' "Oslo" and Jennifer Kidwell and Scott Sheppard's "Underground Railroad Game," both won for best new American theater work. "Oslo" is a sprawling epic about the 1993 Middle East peace talks; "Underground" is a true child of Philly Fringe, a gritty indie two-hander about race relations.
